MANIT Bhopal – My college

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) – thats my college. I study computer science here and I’m currently in third year (6th semester). Technically, it is one of the NITs which mean National Institutes of technology. The NITs are National level institutes which are autonomous and are deemed universities in the engineering discipline. Well, my college is also one of the NITs and therefore, a deemed university too. I can’t say much about this college but I’m sure there are lots of brilliant students here. I like being around with such talented people and I enjoy the environment here – “Hey, Never study for exam until it is too late” .

Talking about college, I want to mention placements this year. About a month ago, all of the final years had been placed in one or more companies. But the thing is that just two days ago, Microsoft’s recruitment was scheduled suddenly and two got selected. Considering the placements this year, I can proudly say that my college has one of the best campus recruitments in the NITs.

The Politics – , I don’t wanna talk about it. I’ll just say there are lots of politics here and I’m not the only one who hates it. But there are good things too. So, its not much a big thing to worry.

The college is a big campus but there are a lot more fields of grass than the buildings. Sometimes, I feel like I’m in a desert because the temperature is so high, the college building is so far from the hostel and when I go for college, it reminds me of the movie “Hidalgo”.

This is the best part. Well, this picture is taken at the energy center which most of the students don’t bother to have a look at. But once you see this place, you will like it and I too kind of like it.

And this is our Students’ Activity Center. I don’t know why they call it Students’ Activity Center. The students hardly go there for their activities.

Well, you have seen some snapshots of my college. What do you think about it? Nice nah? But you might wanna check out if you are planning for a career here – hehe. Hi,

Well nice to hear nice thing about my college. . I passed out in 2004 and the picutres above, where taken by me for a college presentation for the training and placement cell, which never got done because of the politics. Anyway, the second picture is from the energy dept, its opp to the football field and you can go inside and check the sutff.At my time it had one of the best facilities not sure if it still does.

My batch 1988 pass out,I visited frequenly to campus after passing out ,last in 2006,well all is same since last 20years,hardly 10% improvement on infra.side,

You stupid boy, learn to have some manners. Do you have any idea what you are dealing with? I can prosecute you for making such comments. I have traced you down and know where you live. I can do so many things to you that will ever regret for your life. But thinking that you might be a fool just trying to make some foolish comments, I’ve stopped here. You better beg for pardon here. And keep in mind, keep your mouth shut for things you don’t know anything about. You never would dare to be a student of a college like mine and you will never deserve to be one. Thats why u r making such comments but that doesn’t mean you have the right to make such comments. The nature of your words show exactly what kind of college you are in. Arsh has said the truth in a wrong way. I agree that out college is not good, and ragging, is a big problem. But as he pointed out, we need to improve a lot of things in our college, and he is telling the truth, there is nothing right now to be proud about our college, people who try are labeled as Chodu, un-cool, which is bad. We dont have an new IP, nor good results or achievements. We should not get agitated, byt what Arsh said, but rather take it up us, to improve it, we need to change the mind set of MACT/MANIT. We need to make it the next IIT.

Dude, our college is not just about computer programs or the list of books that you read everyday to get high grades… Its about relationship and manners.. when u pass out of this college, you will know that no other college is like us and if you don’t miss this college, you are definitely one of those dumb a**es who didn’t know how to get the most out of this college..
Speaking of which, everyone in the college knows about the my technical skills.. and who are you to say about the skills.. it must be you who don’t know how to improve your skills and need spoon feeding for everything..

In this college, you get everything if you have will, and seniors, what the heck do you know about seniors.. you don’t just blame seniors just because some of them gave you a hundred slaps.. but do you know how good it was.. we had the best relationship with our seniors because of ragging.. I learned how to make websites and earn money from seniors.. and don’t even mention it.. there are seniors who slap you only once but help you a 100 times..

I know that this college could be better but if you ever think that ragging is the first thing to be removed… I’m sure you are one of those lobe sided dumb a**es whose a** got whooped the most in ragging due to lack of manners.. Besides, what’s so much in showing a little manners and getting a few slaps… You entering the real world for the first time and you get to experience some of the worse parts of it.. that would make a good preparation for that…

And besides.. if you don’t want.. you are given option to be out of the group and become a batched out.. whats so hard for you guys to become a batched out and live your lonely and sick college life if you hate ragging so much..
It’s because you are afraid you won’t get the what your other frens will get from being in the group.
So, shut your mouth up and start reading your list of technical books and make computer programs and don’t even think about ragging or anything… why bother if you hate it so much..

but u need to understand the reason f me writin tat message….i am nt in a school mate,i don have hv any principal to complain to am quiet elder to u….the reason i wrote all that was tat my loved one is in pain in ur college tat person is sufferin….people study,work hard,dream to get into an NIT yup ur right i never made t to an NIT and may be i dint deserve t either but do u think ragging is the way juniors seniors should interact tat too brutal inhuman….tell me mate wat do u get in slappin ppl wat pleasure do u get last time i heard ppl were gettin 50 60 slaps come on yaar students come from good,best schools there parents send their kids away from there homes for a reason and tat reason aint moral breakdown which a kid suffers or might suffer in the college stiil its ur college its ur life am no 1 to comment…..all the very best for ya career and life…..work hard party harder……………

You think we just beat them up for pleasure.. u don’t know anything about this college.. I too had the same treatment to myself and I thought the same thing as you do. But with time, I’ve known the very best reason for all that things. they are boys.. not children and they can tolerate some slaps. We don’t rag them like other colleges. we don’t spoil them morally. Its just that they learn to have this feeling of being a junior in the first few months. And you know what that brings in the end. The best of interaction between seniors and juniors. And i myself who was also one of the victims of ragging, really appreciate what our seniors did. Maybe you can ask your friend or loved one after sometime. He too will really appreciate this. You know what what will happen here without ragging. every person will go in his own way and maybe some of them will have interaction with seniors but most of them won’t. What we do here is for their goodness, unity amongst themselves and many other things. We only do it the old way which our seniors did to us.

A few slaps from the seniors is worth it. Only the students here can feel that. Maybe someday, your loved one will tell you what its like here. And maybe he will also tell you what it feels like when someone from outside talks bad about his own college.

And yes, all of the students are good here. And I’m sure that each and every student here leaves this college with hundreds of valuable memories from here. The things they learn from here are different from what the parents expect but these things are more important to them in their life.

So, if you really want to know about this college, ask all you like when he comes out of this college. The first few months on this college doesn’t show anything about this institute. So, just wait for that time when your loved one feels so attached to this college and that time you say those bad words to him. See how he reacts at that time.

Ragging doesnt help anywhere, slapping wont get you close. What are you guys, some kind of gay creatures who wants to be spanked to get close. Get close over a game of chess or a computer program or words, that will help both you and your junior in a long way. Tell me how has it helped you or your senior after getting close. Will he get you a job, will in interview it matter how many slaps you get, or will in CAT/GRE/GMAR essay it will matter who your senior is.

Do you not know how much knowledge our seniors gave to us? how much our seniors helped us out.. you must be a real jerk to under-estimate that.. It’s you who doesn’t know how to make a good and friendly relation with your seniors. Don’t even speak about it. You don’t lose anything in getting a few slaps.. but if you get to know the names of your seniors atleast .. you’ll learn things you’ll never learn in your life..
if you don’t believe it, My senior – Konsam boss.. told me to participate in Robotics and gave me ideas.. I became the winner for two times in college..

My senior – Uttam boss.. taught me how to make websites.. and now I’m the website guru..

So, if you think you don’t get anything from seniors, you must be a real jerk.

Besides, I don’t even care if I don’t learn anything from my seniors.. because i had so much fun together with my seniors I treasure those moments the most..

So, you dumb ass.. hide where you can in the corner of your room and stop talking about shit you don’t know about..

hey …i am presently second yr here in this col…
its fun being here ..these non manitian folks dont understand our culture..yeah these ppl may be scared of us coz we are confident ,strong in our decisions ,united in thoughts…and practical in all aspects….
this is the reason we nurture real leaders and strong personalities…and not nerds or bookworms as all IITs or other colleges do…if u think there is a lot of ragging …how do ya think seniors and juniors so close and friendly…partying together…sharing stuff…having fun and most important stuff being involved …no other col can have such good junior-senior relationship.
